Juicero is the new and improved way of drinking freshly pressed fruits and veggies with the push of a button. With a sleek white design and a wifi connector, the Juicero could very easily be the start to the future of kitchen appliances.
The cold pressed juicing system basically acts just like a Keurig. Once you have loaded the Juicero press with your desired juice packet, you close the lid and with the push of a button, you’ll have a fresh 8 oz glass of juice, no mess.
The Juicer sells for $699 on the Juicero site, with options for juice pouch subscriptions. Packs are sold in bundles, or multiples of five (1 Bundle = 5 Packs).
The pouches come in five different flavors: Sweet greens, Greens, Spicy Greens, Carrot Beet and Sweet Roots. Individually, the Juicero packs cost around $5-10 per pouch, depending on flavor selection.
The packets are filled with raw, organic produce, which is already chopped and cold-press ready. They will stay fresh in a fridge for up to 6 days and the machine does not need any additional water. Each pack has a QR code to ensure “freshness” and reveal which farm the produce comes from.
Overpriced, overhyped and over-funded. You mean to tell me, it costs $700 dollars, and 120 million worth of investment money to press juice into a glass? Sadly, this is probably true. The packets of fresh fruits and vegetables are the real sell here.
One final thought, Juicero’s CMO Deena Bahri worked at Birchbox for four years. No wonder the juice packs come as a subscription box…
